Braised Steak with Bacon, Onions and Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1x 500g pack Briasing Steak
  • 4x Rashers Streaky Bacon, diced
  • 30ml (2tbsp) Vegetable Oil
  • 150g Button Onions (or roughly chopped white onion
  • 1xJar Homepride Beef Bourguignon Sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 180c/Gas5.
  2. In a large pan, heat the oil, then add the braising steak, browning it all over. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the bacon to the pan for 3-5 minutes until cooked.
  4. Add the onions and cook for a further 2 minutes, then return the beef to the pan and add the Beef Bourguignon sauce. Bring to the boil.
  5. Place everything into a casserole dish with a tight fitting lid and place into the oven.
  6. Cook for 2 Hours or until the beef is tender.
  7. Serve with mash potato and steamed vegetables.
