Braised Lamb and Root Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 1x Lamb Shoulder joint approx. 800-900g
  • 1x medium onion, roughly diced
  • 600g mixed roughly dice root vegetables (eg Carrot, Swede, Celeriac, Leeks)
  • 1x jar Homepride Lamb and Rosemary Sauce
  • 200ml Red Wine

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas5.
  2. In a large, deep baking tray, place the lamb, vegetables, red wine and water. Cover tightly with foil and place into the oven for 90 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven and add the jar of Lamb and Rosemary Sauce.
  4. Recover and return to the oven for 30 minutes until lamb is tender and comes away from the bone.
  5. Served with mashed potatoes.
