Chicken and Mushroom Pie

Ingredients:

  • 500g Homepride White Wine & Cream Cook-In-Sauce
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) oil
  • 4 chicken breast fillets – cubed
  • 1 onion – chopped
  • 100g (3.5 oz) smoked bacon - cut into strips
  • 175g (6 oz) button mushooms – halved
  • 340g ready rolled puff pastry - milk to glaze

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C (400°F/Gas 6). Meanwhile, in large frying pan, heat oil and stir-fry chicken for 5 minutes. Transfer to 1.2L (2 pt) pie dish.
  2. Stir-fry onion, bacon and mushrooms for 5 minutes. Add to chicken and stir in sauce.
  3. Brush brim of pie dish with milk and cover pie with pastry. Trim spare pastry and press edges to seal pie. Brush pastry with milk to glaze.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden.
  5. Serve with seasonal vegetable and enjoy!
